The hosts themselves show step by step how they improved their bodies and lost 25 pounds over a 30 day period. Flabs 2 Abs opens with a nutrition program structured around eating five small meals daily, each roughly 3 hours apart, and emphasizing the selection of healthy foods. The exercise program begins with recommendations for cardio that revolve around taking walks. (Light jogging or a workout on an elliptical machine also fit with the program). The weight training section is optional; six workouts are presented, and each can be modified according to the viewer's needs and physical limits. Exercises that require space-consuming equipment can be skipped in favor of exercises that require little or no equipment; incorporating as much of the weight training segment as possible into one's program promotes improved muscle tone.
