(More customer reviews)I've been drinking these for about 4 years now, usually 1 a day, and they work pretty well for weight maintenance. When trying to lose weight, I will usually substitute one meal a day with a Slim Fast - breakfast or lunch. I also have these for breakfast a lot, simply because I can grab one from the fridge and drink it in 30 seconds, which is great when I'm in a hurry, and because I always make sure to eat something for breakfast.
Usually however, I drink these in the mornings before a run so that I will have some food in my body to fuel the run. Since it is basically a liquid, it doesn't upset my stomach if I drink it right before I head out the door.
I can't attest to the other flavors, but Rich Chocolate Royale tastes fairly decently. I never crave the taste of a Slim Fast, and I am not fooled into thinking I am drinking a milkshake, but they do taste pretty good.
Finally, the great thing about Slim Fast is the nutritional makeup. It has 6g of fat, which can be misleading since an amazing 3g of that is monounsaturated and polyunsaturated (good fats). The best part about slim Fast are the 5g of fiber and 10g of Protein in each can, which are very high amounts. This makes it great for a post run/workout drink as well.
My only problem with Slim Fast, is that one can is likely not going to be enough to work as a meal replacement for many people. It is just not enough food. I have heard if you try drinking it slowly it helps, but I usually find myself hungry a couple hours after drinking one. For people under 150 lbs it may be enough, but I would almost recommend two Slim Fasts as a meal replacement for anyone trying to lose a significant amount of weight. There is no way I could replace two meals a day with Slim Fasts (like their ads say), then have a "sensible" dinner. I would be starving. But it is a great product as a snack or before a workout.

(More customer reviews)Finding the lemonade fast in a powder has been great! I was doing the fresh lemons thing, buying the grade B maple syrup and making my own from scratch. It took time and was messy. So I love this powder! Fast, easy. I have one-quart Rubbermade bottles that I fill with water, put four scoops of powder and shake. I drink it all day long and am never hungry. One reviewer said that it made him/her feel bad. The first two days you will feel bad because your body is adjusting to it, and a lot of water retention and toxins are released. If you can get past those two days you can do this. I've done the fast six to seven times (twice a year) for up to 30 days at a time. And when it comes to food I don't have very good control! Each time I lose one pound every day. That is a great incentive!
You DO have to psych yourself up to do this. Your mind wants to eat! Especially when you are watching TV and seeing the food advertisements! But just keep sipping throughout the day and you are never physically hungry! It's really all mental. The first couple days I even keep the bottle by the bed at night and sip if I wake up and feel either bad or hungry. After a few days I don't have to do that anymore. Even while doing the fast I often make dinner for my husband--and I am fine! I carry the bottle to work, and just sip whenever I feel a hunger pain. The hunger goes right away. I started 2010 on new year's day, and it's now the 15th and I have lost 13 pounds. Once you start eating again you have to stay at small portions, otherwise the weight will slowly add back on.
This cleanse has been around for many years, and has been helpful for many people. I expect I'll be doing this for many years.

(More customer reviews)I have been using this product for 30 days and I was surprised by my results. I lost 10 pounds within the first 7 days. I will admit that the very first day of taking this product I felt very hyper until I ate something 30 minutes later. When I took the second dose prior to lunch I also experienced a burning type sensation in my stomach. Again, this also passed after eating. I have since lost only 2 more pounds, however I have not changed my eating or exercise habits at all. Any side effects that I was experiencing also disappeared after about the second or third day. I've maintained my weight loss with no effort. For me this product has reduced my appetite in that I don't feel the need to constantly snack. I wish this was something I could take before dinner time as well. I found that if I took a dose after 2pm I had trouble sleeping at night. I think the prime candidate for this product is someone that is trying to lose no more than 10-20 pounds and their target issue is periodic snacking. I am going to continue to take this product for another 30 days and I'll keep you posted.

The B12 Energy formula tastes the best, I have all the Slife of Life products at home. I find that it's much easier to remember to take vitamins when they taste great - they are now my after-dinner evening snack! The only thing to note is that these things melt very easily, so I would not have them shipped to a location with high temps. The first batch I ordered from another online company were completely melted into one big glob, as they sat outside my house all day in the heat. But this was my last try with diet pills. Phenphedrine barely gives me any side effects at all! And after 2-3 days, your body gets used to it so it doesn't feel like you're on anything. I was dieting before I started taking these pills with a 1200 calorie a day diet, and I was losing about 1 pound a week. After I started taking these pills (while on the same diet), I've been losing about 3 pounds a week. So you do have to diet while taking these, but if you take them while dieting it will definitely speed up the process. Awesome Pill!!

My suggestion is to add in a serving of fruit or blend it with ice to give it some extra volume. This has an effect on how filling these products will be.
Previous reviews focused on the sugar involved in these drinks. While its true sugar is non-nutrative these shakes are fortified and contain roughly 1/3rd of your daily requirements for most nutrients. These products are not for someone on a low carb diet but valuable for someone who is on a reduced calorie diet. Finally the price per serving for the mixes will beat most other products hand down. If you are dieting on a budget you'll want to start here.

(More customer reviews)I have done the Sambu 10-day deep cleanse every year for 15 years, sometimes twice in a year. The 10-day cleanse omits all solid foods and you subsist on what's in the kit. There is the elderberry juice sweetened with honey that you mix with water, the tea, the fiber you mix with the juice in place of meals, etc. The first couple of days are hard as in headaches from detoxing the blood and kidneys, but by day 4, I'm feeling so good about what I've accomplished and no lack of energy. I recommend starting on a Friday so you have the weekend to adjust and observe how you feel. By Monday, you'll be back at work and ready to tackle whatever comes your way. By day 10, I feel so good my sense of smell in particular is heightened, it's a good jump start to a weight loss plan. You start back into solid foods again slowly, and the flavors really jump out at you, you can use less spice/salt/sugar without feeling like you are sacrificing. I lose an average of 12-15 pounds each time. There are modified versions of this diet that allow you to eat food and there are 3-day kits and 5-day kits if the 10 day seems intimidating.

I used this product back in late 2007. I changed to only drink water and really cut back on my portions at meal time. It won't be too difficult to cut back on portions as this helps curb your appetite pretty nicely. But, it is important that you try and drink as much water as possible when on these pills.
I would take 3 per day usually. Two in the morning and one in the evening. When I followed this simple routine I was able to shed about 25-30 pounds within about 4 months(no joke). I stopped and have put the weight back on, so I just ordered the product again, this time on a monthly plan so that I remember to stay on it.
The really nice part of this product is that you don't get the bad side effects like you do with most diet pills. Other pills usually make you feel weird and give you diarrhea. This product does not do that. Instead, it actually gives you a great deal of energy and makes you feel great if you usually drag through the day and need lots of coffee to stay awake. You will probably not need the coffee if you stay on these pills.

I take 1 first thing in the morning to get me going and it helps a great deal! They give you a good kick start of energy, don't make you feel sluggish when they wear off, and if you're in a depressed mood, they do get you out of it, at least at the moment. Of all the energy pills I've taken I think Happy Pills do the best job for me.
I am a small female, so I only take 1 instead of the 2 the box recommends.

I think the main issue with people who rely on diet pills is that they expect the diet pill to do all the work. Really I just wanted something to give me some energy and something particularly to curb my cravings for suger and this does just that.
With my cravings curbed I can make better decisions as to what I should be eating (I had a small piece of steak and broccoli for dinner, nuts and some 99% fat free turkey and ham for lunch, and an apple and low sugar yogurt for snack and a cup of Wheaties for a late night snack and I am quite satisfied). Without those crazy cravings I don't grab a cookie or a Snickers for a snack. I don't go back for seconds at dinner anymore. I don't take naps anymore either.
I have tried many diets before (Low Carb, Weight Watchers, Fat Loss 4 Idiots) and I have successfully lost weight on all of them, but I gained the weight back b/c I couldn't control my cravings. That is the key to any successful weight loss program I believe. Taking DexMax allows me to successfully do my favorite weight loss program: Fat Loss 4 Idiots. I eat what I want and lose half pound to one pound a day. Of course, I work out whether I diet or not b/c it is so much fun. I walk for 30 minutes or I use the gazelle. I want to lose 30 pounds and have already lost 2 pounds since Valentines day. Today is the 16th of FEB.
I only take 3 pills a day: 2 in the morn and 1 around 3-4 p.m. when I feel like the cravings will be back. I do not get headaches or the jitters. I don't get stomach cramps either. As when I drink coffee or Pepsi, my heart speeds up, but it doesn't last very long. Not even an hour. So, I stay away from other caffeine drinks for now. I trusted Dexitrim b/c it has been around for so long and my sister used it years ago to lose her baby weight successfully. For people who experience light headedness or headaches it could come from not eating. If a diet pill curbs your appetite so much that you don't want to eat, then you need to be sensible and force yourself to eat 3-4 healthy meals a day or cut back your dosage of the diet pill. The first day I took this pill I didn't want to eat, but I ate b/c I didn't want to get sick. The directions say you can take four a day, but I may take two a day if that is all I feel I need.

(More customer reviews)I've been taking a multi-vitamin daily for about 17 years now, and I'm always looking for a better value. So far, I have been unable to find a multi that has higher potency for less price. Be careful when shopping vitamins- usually they will try to trick you and list the amounts of ingredients, but when you look carefully at the label it will say (serving size: 3 capsules) or something like that. So that means to get what they are saying you need to take that many, instead of 1 pill. This product has high levels of most ingredients in **1** pill, making it an excellent value. The only caveat is that its a bit skimpy on the B vitamins-- I take an additional B vitamin to compensate. But still: Overall, unbeatable
